Abstract
The generalization of approaches to the motivation of staff in the field of information technologies (hereinafter-IT) made it possible to connect the toolkit for revealing creative potential and functional components of business with A. Maslow's pyramid of needs. It has been found that the needs of the lower levels for IT employees are more or less easily 381 satisfied by the high level of salaries, bonus payments, meaningful social package, comfortable working conditions, professional growth system. It was determined that the achievement of the upper levels of the pyramid of needs for an IT-specialist is related to the disclosure of personal creativity, the generation of creative ideas, created conditions for obtaining satisfaction from work, and the disclosure of creative potential.
