Gender approach to the learning process at higher education establishments

Higher education in Ukraine is undergoing an important stage of reforming within the framework of the European integration course in order to improve its quality. Since education is one of the main factors in the formation of consciousness, its development should take place on the democratic basis with the establishment of equality, justice, tolerance, and non-discrimination principles. In this context, issues of gender equality and the development of gender culture are important and relevant factors for the state and society as a whole. Thus, gender education and overcoming gender stereotypes become one of the links in the learning process at educational institutions of various levels, including higher ones. At schools, institutes and universities, it is necessary to create favourable environment for positive changes in overcoming gender inequality, avoiding gender discrimination, as well as conditions for participants of educational process to receive necessary information about gender culture essence and gender policy aspects in Ukraine and the EU.
Mnemonic techniques for learning foreign languages and historical disciplines

The article is devoted to the use of certain mnemotechnical methods in the educational process in higher education when teaching foreign languages and historical disciplines. Our attention is focused on studying the types and features of memory, the importance of strong memory. Under mnemotechnical methods the authors understand a set of techniques that increase the amount of memory and make it easier to remember information. It is proved that the basis of mnemonic memory is visualization, a kind of figurative note-taking, during which abstract concepts are replaced with those that have a visual, auditory or kinesthetic embodiment in human memory. Personal experience of the authors allows us to conclude that the use of mnemotechnical methods in higher education gives students many advantages. Such methods improve the ability of students to retain a large amount of accurate information in memory, reduce the time when memorizing information, since the process of memorizing information is completely controlled, and fix certain data in long-term memory – what was once recorded in memory is firmly stored for a long time. So, mnemonics is a powerful tool that trains and improves attention and thinking. It allows you to develop creative thinking and motivates students to achieve success and interest in learning a foreign language and historical disciplines, as well as greatly facilitates learning. We are confident that the interest in mnemonics is not currently fading. Moreover, types of mnemonic memory techniques are constantly being improved based on new ideas about the mechanisms of human memory. Now phenomenal memory from the category of miracles goes into the category of ordinary, accessible to everyone memory skills that can be formed, like any other skills. Mnemonics has been used for a long time in many areas. From the point of view of psychology, it has long been studied deeply and seriously (along with such psychological concepts as memory, memorization), but in terms of pedagogy, the question of rational use of mnemonics techniques in teaching at university remains relevant. The authors of the article presented their own experience of using various mnemotechnical methods in higher education, namely: making high-quality notes, the method of linking to well-known information, receiving bright events, the Cicero method, the method of “keywords”, the method of phonetic associations.
Use of M-learning in higher school for the study of foreign languages and historical disciplines

Higher education in Ukraine has faced new difficulties in 2023 (martial law, evacuations, relocations, need for adaptation, and tension), but distance learning has been offered. Therefore, problems such as introducing innovation, enhancing the effectiveness of this type of training, and improving distance education methods remain important. Enhancing students' enthusiasm, initiative, and sense of responsibility in the process of learning and its practical implementation are crucial components of teaching activities. Utilizing mobile apps for educational purposes is a way to rev up and diversify the educational process. Young people can be encouraged to use smartphones and tablets for educational reasons, because they frequently use them for communication and entertainment.
Гендерний підхід в освітньому середовищі у вищій школі

Статтю присвячено проблемі впровадження гендерного підходу в навчальний процес у вищому навчальному закладі. Відзначено, що питання гендерної рівності та розвитку гендерної культури є важливими та актуальними чинниками для держави та суспільства загалом. Гендерна освіта й подолання гендерних стереотипів стають однією з ланок навчального процесу в освітніх установах різного рівня, в тому числі вищих. Визначено, що у студентському середовищі присутня наявність гендерних стереотипів, насамперед щодо розподілу домашніх обов’язків, «жіночої» і «чоловічої» роботи або діяльності. Освітня кампанія з подолання таких стереотипів має бути включена в освітній процес.

Стаття присвячена проблемі використання сучасних технологій в умовах ВНЗ. Розкрито переваги та недоліки такого методу. Відображено досвід використання Е-learning при викладанні дисциплін гуманітарного циклу та іноземної мови студентам ВНЗ. Виявлено доцільність впровадження таких технологій у навчальний процес.
